*spoiler alert*

I know, I know, the new Elle Decor has only just hit the stands, but I couldn't help myself. The London home of Peter Mikic and his partner has made me slightly weak at the knees...so I couldn't help but share. The man has some seriously good taste in art and furniture. Might have something to do with the fact that he's Australian, and studied at the same university as myself. Ahem. Some serious eye candy heading your way...

Time & Place

To say that I'm excited about the release of NY based designer Steven Gambrel's first book, "Time & Place", is probably a bit of a understatement. One of my favorite designers over the last few years, Gambrel seems to somehow outdo himself with each and every project. One of the most original eyes for colour around, and a sense of what is timeless yet current, this book will surely be a wonderful record of his work to date. I can't wait for my copy to arrive!

Yowzer

I'm loving this São Paulo apartment by Felipe Hess. A good example of white walls done well. If its eye candy as much you as it is for me, then head on over to Yatzer for more images...

Stuart Scott @ Liberty

Stuart Scott has been a busy man...not only does he have a lovely new collection that's just been launched, his range is now also available at Liberty in London! I love each and every one of the new designs, they're timeless and so versatile. And, considering each piece is hand made in England, signed by hand, and numbered, I'd say they're also an investment!

Marni love

So I don't normally go gaga over designer collaborations, but I must admit I'm quite excited by this one. I'm a huge fan of the label Marni, and I think Consuelo Catiglioni is a design genius. Season after season she puts together quirky, fun and clever combinations that are so unique and unlike anything else around. I love her sense of colour, and their shoes and accessories are amazing. I'm not sure I'm up for camping outside the store (that's if it even makes it to HK!), but I might need to allow for an early morning when this collection is released in exactly a month's time. It's set to be a quick sellout for sure.

Today's obsession

Totally loving the 'Belle Etoile' daybed by Andrée & Olivia Putman for Serralunga. So stylish. But then what would you expect from a design legend..?

Luis Bustamante

I discovered a new (to me) designer just before I left for Bangkok but didn't get a chance to share the discovery with you. Luis Bustamante is a Madrid-based Architect and Interior Designer. His work is a little more classical in style than I normally like, but it has an edge, and a lightness to it that I'm enjoying. Señor Bustamante also happens to have a new book out, which doesn't seem to be on the US Amazon website, but is available on the Spanish website, here. And seeing as learning Spanish is a new year's resolution I haven't quite got around to, I will just have to make do with these lovely images from his website...

A sublime sanctuary

OK, I admit it, these pics are a repeat of a post I did back in July last year...but as it was just published in the latest Architectural Digest with some new images, I just couldn't help myself. The New York apartment of Claire Weiss was designed by Rees Roberts, and I agree with the owner, it is indeed sublime. The colours are a lot crisper in these images, and the mural which I hadn't really noticed before is in full view now. And on second viewing, it still makes my heart skip a beat.
