Okay, so you can't technically see the bedhead in this pic, but I wanted to share because I love the colours of this room so much. Bedroom of fashion designer, Steven Stolman, and partner.
A lovely four poster bed in the French country house of one of my favorite furniture designers, Todd Hase.
Fresh white with studded detailing in the bedroom of designer Tony Fornabaio and partner.
A Black diamond buttoned beauty in a room by Sharon Simonaire.
Classic chic in the bedroom of designer Mario Nievera.
More dark inviting colours - in the bedroom of British Khaki founder, Robert Lighton.
Paisley perfection in Christopher Spitzmiller's bedroom.
Quiet and serene in a bedroom by Diana Viñoly.
Not technically just a bedhead - I had purposefully steered away from adding four posters and canopy beds, but this one, and the Todd Hase one are the exceptions. Jeffrey Bilhuber's fresh take on an old favorite.
Two ornate designs, in classic Katie Ridder style.
And finally, the image that got me started on these posts! Now that I've found it I won't bore you with a 4th edition. This is from a Melbourne home that was inspired by a Philippe Starck designed hotel the owner stayed in. Featured in Vogue Living (Australia) Jan/Feb 2006. I love the fact that this bedhead is floor to ceiling, I love the diamond buttoning (of course!) and the custom built in sconces.
I just don't know how you're going to choose! They're all beautiful. And by the way,do you mind telling me where you got the Steven Stolman photo? I missed that spread!
ReplyDeleteThat blanket looks amazing. What is that? Is that fur? Matches the blankets. Oh, one can dream.
ReplyDeleteHi Jennifer- It is a tough decision...
ReplyDeleteThe Steven Stolman spread was in an Elle Decor, I will check the details tonight and let you know which issue.
Hi H - thanks for visiting! I think the blanket is actually faux fur - looks nice and soft doesn't it!
ReplyDeletePOC - The Stolman apartment was featured in Elle Decor, May 2004.
ReplyDeleteLove them all. Problem: I would stay awake all night just admiring my surroundings.
ReplyDeleteHi Suzy! Hey! Congrats on the shout out you got in the Washington Post Blog Watch!
ReplyDeleteLove these beds you've chosen. You have named alot of my favorite designers here, so what's not to love?
I am wild about each and every one of these bedheads. But the last one-white and tall and wonderful with the button tufting knocks my socks off. Great post!
